Is this safe for mixed-status or undocumented families?
Yes. Your information is confidential, protected by law, and never shared with immigration agencies.
All legal work is done inside Kreis & Sykes, PLLC, and everything you provide is covered by attorney–client privilege.
We do not report, upload, or disclose your information to any outside organization.
What information do you collect?
Only what is necessary to create your documents:
names
dates of birth
contact details
emergency caregivers
basic household information
property/business details (for Full Binder only)
We never request immigration status, Social Security numbers, or anything that isn’t required for your plan.
How do I know my information is secure?
We use encrypted, attorney-grade software to collect and store your intake information.
Only authorized members of the legal team can access it.
Nothing is shared with third parties.
Nothing is stored in public systems.
Everything is protected by attorney–client privilege.
What is included in the Free Binder?
A downloadable PDF containing worksheets and checklists to organize your household information, emergency contacts, children’s profiles, and important documents you already have.
You complete it at home — no personal information is collected.
What is included in the $500 Basic Binder?
A complete essential planning package that includes:
wills
powers of attorney
medical releases
school and childcare forms
HIPAA authorization
caregiver instructions
home/vehicle access permissions
a professionally assembled Red Binder
All documents are attorney-prepared, notarized, witnessed, and organized for you.
What is included in the $1,000 Full Binder?
Everything in the Basic Binder plus:
a revocable living trust
trust certificate
property and business planning
beneficiary and POD/TOD coordination
deed preparation (MS/TN)
additional signing appointment for trust documents
The Full Binder is for families with real estate, businesses, or savings.
Do I have to pay before the appointment?
No.
You pay at the signing appointment, after your documents have been prepared and reviewed with you.
Cash, debit cards, and money orders are welcome.
Do I need an ID to sign documents?
A photo ID is helpful but not required for every document.
We will explain what is needed for your specific situation in a safe, private setting.
How long does the process take?
Most families complete everything within 3–5 days, depending on intake timing and appointment availability.
The signing appointment typically lasts 30–60 minutes.
Can I do this even if I don’t speak English?
Yes.
We offer:
all worksheets in Spanish
bilingual support during intake and signing
translated instructions inside the binder
Your documents themselves must be in English to be legally valid, but we provide Spanish explanations wherever helpful.
Can churches or community organizations host binder events?
Yes.
We collaborate with churches, schools, nonprofits, and community groups to host educational sessions or small clinics.
Organizations may sponsor families or underwrite a group of binders.
Is this the same as hiring an immigration lawyer?
No.
The Red Binder Project focuses on family planning, not immigration status or applications.
However, having these documents gives your family clarity and stability if immigration issues arise.
What if I already have some documents?
Bring them. We’ll review what you have and update or replace anything that is incomplete, outdated, or missing signatures.
Can I update my binder later?
Yes.
Life changes — children grow, addresses change, caregivers move.
You can return anytime to update your documents for a small fee or as part of a community event.
Who keeps my documents?
You do.
Your binder goes home with you.
The firm keeps digital copies in your confidential client file, but nothing is shared outside the legal team.
Will any of this affect my taxes, benefits, or immigration case?
No.
This is not shared with government agencies and does not appear in public records.
Your documents only take effect if they are needed.
